Nightara Terms
of Service.
These Terms explain the rules for using Nightara, including user-generated content safeguards, anonymous posting rules, reporting tools, blocking tools, moderation standards, subscriptions, safety enforcement and contact information.

Effective immediately upon account creation
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Nightara. By creating an account, accessing the app, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our separate Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Nightara (“Nightara,” “the App,” “the Service,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Nightara. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility and Age Rating
Nightara includes user-generated content, social features, optional anonymous posting and community interaction. Because of these features, Nightara is intended for mature audiences and may be rated 18+ in app marketplaces where required by app marketplace rules, regional laws or platform policies.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Nightara. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the review and consent of a parent or legal guardian, and only where permitted by applicable law and marketplace rules. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
Nightara is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
3. Your Account
You may create an account using an email address and password or supported third-party authentication providers such as Apple or Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including content posted anonymously. Anonymous posting does not exempt you from these Terms or our community safety rules.
You agree to notify us immediately at support@nightara.app if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our community standards, or applicable law. You may delete your account from the app settings.
User Content
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of dreams, images, comments, profile content and other content you post on Nightara (“User Content”). By posting User Content, you grant Nightara a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute your content solely for operating, improving and providing the Service.
Public, Private and Anonymous Content
Nightara may allow users to post dreams publicly, keep dreams private or post publicly without displaying their username. Anonymous posts are still connected to the posting account internally for safety and moderation purposes. Users remain responsible for all content they submit, including anonymous content.
Content Standards
Nightara has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
You agree not to post, upload, comment, message or otherwise share content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing or bullying
- Promotes hate, discrimination or violence against any person or group
- Contains explicit sexual content, sexual exploitation or graphic violence
- Encourages self-harm, suicide, eating disorders or harm to others
- Contains threats, intimidation, stalking or targeted harassment
- Exploits, endangers or sexualizes minors
- Infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights
- Impersonates another person or misrepresents your identity
- Contains spam, scams, misleading content or unsolicited advertising
- Contains malware, viruses, harmful code or attempts to disrupt the Service
- Is otherwise objectionable, unsafe or inappropriate for the Nightara community
Community Safety, Reporting, Blocking and Moderation
Anonymous posting is not an exception to Nightara’s rules. Anonymous content remains subject to filtering, reporting, blocking, moderation and enforcement.
Nightara uses community safety tools, reporting systems, blocking tools and moderation workflows to help protect users from objectionable content and abusive behavior.
Filtering Objectionable Content
Nightara may use automated, manual or community-based moderation tools to detect, filter, restrict, hide, remove or review objectionable content before or after it appears in the app. Content that appears to violate our rules may be blocked, limited, hidden, removed or sent for review.
Reporting Content or Users
Users can report objectionable posts, abusive users, inappropriate activity or safety concerns from within the app. Reports are routed to our moderation system for review.
Users may also contact us directly at support@nightara.app to report inappropriate activity, abusive users, objectionable content or urgent safety concerns.
Blocking Users
Users can block abusive or unwanted users. Blocking may remove that user’s content from the blocking user’s experience and restrict interactions between the accounts.
Immediate Removal from Feed
Users can immediately remove objectionable content from their own feed or experience by reporting, hiding or blocking content or users where these tools are available. Admin removal may remove content globally.
24-Hour Moderation Policy
Nightara aims to review reports of objectionable content and abusive behavior within 24 hours. If we determine that content or conduct violates these Terms, we may remove the content, restrict visibility, issue a warning, suspend the account, terminate the account or take other appropriate action.
When a violation is confirmed, Nightara may remove offending content and eject, suspend or terminate abusive users from the Service.
AI Features Disclaimer
Nightara’s AI-powered features, including Dream Interpretation, Symbol Decoder, Dream DNA, Dream Twins, AI-generated imagery, recommendations and other AI-assisted tools, are provided for entertainment, journaling, creativity and personal reflection only.
Nightara uses third-party AI services through our backend. The AI models are not developed or trained by Nightara.
AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate for your specific situation. AI-generated interpretations do not constitute medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, legal, financial or professional advice.
Do not rely on Nightara’s AI features for medical, mental health, crisis or safety decisions. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health concern, contact a qualified professional or emergency service.
Subscriptions and Billing
7. Subscription Tiers
Nightara offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans may include Dreamer+ and Dream Pro. Features, limits, pricing and availability may vary by platform, region and app version.
Billing
Subscription fees are charged through your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Nightara does not control App Store or Google Play billing, refunds or cancellation processing.
Price Changes
We may change subscription pricing or features with reasonable notice where required. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated pricing or plan terms.
Intellectual Property
The Nightara name, logo, design, app interface, visual identity and proprietary features are owned by Nightara and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer or create derivative works based on Nightara without our written permission.
AI-generated images created through the app are provided for personal use. Commercial use may be subject to restrictions from Nightara, app marketplace rules or third-party AI providers.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. Nightara’s privacy practices, data retention timelines, account deletion process and data handling details are explained on our separate Privacy Policy page.
By using Nightara, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Safety and Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate activity that may violate these Terms, our community standards or applicable law.
We may remove content, restrict content visibility, issue warnings, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, block access to the Service or cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.
We are not obligated to monitor all content, but we may review, moderate or remove content at our discretion.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nightara and its owners, employees, contractors, agents and service providers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate or available at all times.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the courts located in California, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
